There are a lot of things that change once you go through a divorce.

And yes, it’s emotional.

But, if you give yourself time to heal…

Avoid playing the victim or pointing the finger at who’s to blame..

You will find clarity and if you have kids together you will learn that they are always at the forefront..

I will never say it is easy, but it does become “easier” with time and work…

And when one of you calls and says, “Hey, I’m stranded I think my battery is dead…I don’t know what to do…”

You do the right thing, the man thing, the father of your children thing…and make sure mom is ok and back on the road…

Why?

Because it’s the right thing. 

Show your kids what it means to be a great father who puts them first, because it’s important.

And when some outsider asks why you still do it?

Smile and say, BECAUSE.
